The annual award winners in the Electronic Image category were announced at the Club’s annual banquet this past Thursday evening at the Chowder Pot restaurant in Hartford.  Here they are:

2008-2009 Points Competition

• First Place – Laura Bryg – 356 Points
• Second Place – Audrey Weigold – 353 Points
• Third Place – Cindy Gosselin – 351 Points

• First Place – Lynn Bacon – 359 Points
• Second Place – Bob Cameron – 356 Points
• Third Place -  Jan Chambers – 345 PointsCongratulations to Lynn Bacon and Bob Cameron as they both move into the Masters Group in electronic images.

Rick General Competition Results

That’s right folks – it’s last call time for submitting your entries for the Electronic Image of the Year competition!  Entries will be accepted until midnight on Monday, 5/18/09.  There will be no exceptions to this cutoff, as the judging is scheduled for Wednesday evening, so get your entries in now!

Just a reminder that entries for the End of Year awards in Digital are due by next Monday (5/18/09) night’s meeting, although I’d appreciate it if you would get them in earlier than that, as it does take time to put the competition together.

Also, although there is no award in the Specified Topic category, these images may be entered in another category if they fit the criteria.  For example, “Male Bluebird Coming in to Nest”, which was entered in the March Nature contest, would fit nicely into the Fauna category.
